I’m pretty sure that this one has been making the rounds already, but if you haven’t read it yet it’s a pretty funny blog: Hyperbole and a Half.
Because those French are still wacky (ps-I like Tinkerbell): Disney Princesses.
Strangely, I seem to fall in the “Very Trustworthy”, “Neutral”, “Unsavory”, and “Threatening” categories, depending on when I’ve shaved last: Hey, at least I’m not Sidney Crosby.
…which one of these videos is more amazing. I mean, they both are ridawesome (ridiculously awesome, and yes, I call trademark on that word).
First, we have the Knights of Cydonia video, by the band Muse. You should just watch the video, and you’ll quickly understand why it is ridawesome, but I’ll also tell you: 1) the song is great. Every time I hear it I get all pumped up to go do…something. I’m still not sure what yet, but I know that as soon as I figure out what I am supposed to be doing I’ll be rocking it hardcore style. 2) The guy in the band with the Hulk Hogan mustache. 3) Unicorns! Lasers! In a Western! Enough said…
And next we have a little remix – My Body is a Cage, by Arcade Fire. Now this isn’t the official music video, but a video made by a guy who liked the song and thought it needed to be a spaghetti western music video. So he put the music to some scenes from Sergio Leone’s “Once Upon a Time in the West” (no, I haven’t seen it, but I want to now). And personally I think it fits well, and he did a pretty damn good job of it. Plus, like the Muse video, the song is very amazing.
What do you think? I like them both, and I had to share…
Despite the fact that there is no possible way that a storm trooper would defeat StormShadow in a fight, I like the concept of this flickr image set. Pictures of 1 vs. 1 fights, and then letting the commenters decide who will win.
I am kinda surprised though about the sheer quantity of action figures this guy has on hand. And the fact that they are all out of their packaging. Usually the type of nerd that not only has a Lois Lane action figure, but also a Xena, Edward Scissorhands, and Herbie has them all stored neatly in their packaging in a hermetically sealed chamber somewhere. Oh well, to each their own.
I finally figured out how to embed the actual Youtube video in my blog! Hooray!
Ok, now that I’ve got that out of the way, about the video: I met this guy at the gym I go to on Thursday night. And I have two things to say about him. 1) He’s a funny dude, even in his limited English way. 2) Even before knowing he was a MMA fighter, I definitely would not have messed with him. He looks like the type of guy that would be able to mess you up, with or without any training whatsoever. He’s just the type of guy that looks like he can take a hit or 8, then come out raging for your head. And after watching some of the Youtube videos he’s got up online, that seems like exactly the type of guy he is. Hopefully he sees me as a friend…
(One of these days I’ll figure out how to actually embed a Youtube player into this blog. But for now, just click on the link, it is definitely worth it)
Is my internet broken? What happened to that pretty blue layout that used to be the basis behind Sebbylite?!?
I changed it, that’s what happened. It’s an exercise in semantic markup, style sheets, design, boredom, and one or two more things that I could probably come up with. In a nutshell, I wanted to monkey around with the design, so I set it back to a baseline to then go from there.
And that baseline is what it is: blank, white, etc.
Don’t worry, more changes will be made soon (soon being a relative term).
